A <blockquote> is set in the display face at reading size, with a colour rule down its left edge. A <footer> or <cite> inside it is the attribution.

The page reloads before I reach the browser, so writing the site feels like editing a document.

The attribution drops back to the body face and the quiet ink, so it does not compete with the quote.

Notes

The rule uses the soft tone, the quietest colour in the palette.
<cite> and <footer> are styled the same way, so either works.
In the serif type sets the quote is a serif; in grotesk it takes the body face like everything else.
